Job Description


We are seeking a Shaving Line Operator - Production Worker in Brownsville to carry out various tasks in a busy warehouse. The Production Workers will be responsible for preparing bags of pellets for shipment by operating various packaging line equipment, driving a forklift and reporting any issues with equipment directly to the maintenance supervisors.

Duties and Responsibilities for Operator:
  • Responsible for operating a variety of machinery, primarily bagging and baler machines, shrink wrapping machines, forklifts, pallet jacks, and bag sealers.
  • Conduct quality checks on each bag to ensure a solid side and top seal.
  • Responsible for assisting other production areas, as needed.
  • Using a forklift to drive the finished pallet of pellets to the stacking area.  
  • Use skid steer or front end loader to load feed bin 
  • Assist the Shift Leads to start and stop the pellet mills along with communicating any moisture or material problems or problems with the machine.
  • Perform knife maintenance on the shavings mill, grease the shavings mills, change and sharpen cutting blades, and perform light maintenance (troubleshooting, minor repairs, PMs) as required.

Skills and Qualifications of the Production Workers:
  • Ability to maneuver 40lb to 70lbs bags on a regular basis
  • 2 -5 years of manufacturing and production experience
  • Experience operating manufacturing systems highly preferred (monitoring/control systems, software, etc)
  • Forklift experience
  • Must know how or be able to learn how to operate a chainsaw

Job Details for Production Workers:
  • Week 1 - Monday - Thurs 6pm to 6am; Week -  Monday to Wed 6pm to 6am 
  • 3 + Months, possible temp to hire
  • Wage: $18.00
