Job Title: Certified Flagger
Pay: $20/hr + Mileage reimbursement for distances over 60 miles
Hours: 7 AM until done (times may vary)
Start Date: ASAP

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a vital traffic control position, supporting safe and efficient work zones across the community.

As a Flagger, you’ll be essential in directing traffic safely using signs, signals, and hand gestures. You will also set up and remove flagging equipment, assist with fiber installation tasks, and ensure all safety regulations are followed, contributing to smooth project completion.

What You’ll Do:
As a Certified Flagger, you will be responsible for:
  • Directing traffic effectively through the use of signs, hand signals, and flagging devices to protect workers and the public.
  • Setting up and dismantling flagging equipment daily to create safe work zones.
  • Transporting materials and necessary tools to job sites, including flagging gear and fiber reels.
  • Lifting and spinning fiber reels and other equipment as needed to support installation activities.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized job site by collecting scrap materials and ensuring safety standards.
  • Navigating through brush or rough terrain to access remote work locations.
  • Supporting linemen with tasks such as carrying materials and minor site work.
  • Adhering strictly to safety protocols, including following all state flagging rules and regulations, to ensure personal and team safety.

What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • The physical ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs, including bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • A valid Flagging Certification, which must be carried at all times during work hours.
  • The stamina to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Reliability, a strong work ethic, and punctuality.
  • Ability to bring your own lunch and water for long shifts.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, as driving company vehicles may be required.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening prior to employment.
