CNC Machinist | Direct Hire | $35–$45/hour

Location: Albany, Oregon — on-site
Schedule: Weekend nights, Friday–Sunday, approximately 5:30 PM–5:30 AM; shift times may vary slightly
Pay: $35–$45 per hour
Start: ASAP
Overtime: Available

Selectemp is recruiting an experienced CNC Machinist for a direct hire opportunity with an Albany manufacturer. You’ll be hired directly by the company and work with advanced CNC mill-turn equipment to produce precision parts.

If you enjoy solving machining challenges, working to tight tolerances, and collaborating with engineers and programmers, this could be your next opportunity.
What You’ll Do

  • Set up and operate CNC mill-turn equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and machining specifications.

  • Measure and inspect materials and parts to verify dimensional accuracy.

  • Troubleshoot machining issues alongside programmers and other team members.

  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

  • Support manual lathe, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and forging processes as needed.

  • Train and mentor fellow machinists.
What You’ll Bring

  • At least five years of CNC machining experience.

  • The ability to set up and operate CNC equipment.

  • Strong blueprint reading skills and an understanding of GD&T.

  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools and in-process inspections.

  • Strong math, geometry, and troubleshooting skills.

  • A high school diploma or GED.

  • Availability to work the Friday–Sunday overnight schedule.

Preferred: Experience using Epicor or a similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
