Job Title: log loader operator
Pay: $28.19/hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30AM - 3:30PM
Start Date: ASAP

As a Log Loader Operator, you'll be responsible for safely operating logging equipment and helping keep the yard organized. You'll work closely with your team to ensure efficient operations and a safe environment.

What You'll Do
As a Log Loader Operator, you will be responsible for:


• Safely operate log loader equipment (e.g., knuckleboom, wheel loader, or tracked loader) to lift and move logs


• Load and unload logs onto trucks, railcars, or conveyors


• Organize and stack logs in the yard according to species, size, or customer requirements


• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance (e.g., checking fluids, greasing, minor repairs)


• Communicate with truck drivers, yard crew, and supervisors to coordinate movements and ensure safety


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the log yard


• Follow all safety regulations, environmental rules, and company policies


• Record load counts and assist with inventory tracking when needed

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Previous experience operating log loaders required
  • Familiarity with logging industry practices and safety procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver’s license
