Pay: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
Hours: Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll ensure that all company products meet customer expectations and adhere to relevant certifications and standards. You will maintain a high-performing quality management system, driving continuous improvement and excellence across all processes.
What You’ll Do:
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the quality assurance team and serving as the voice of customer satisfaction by ensuring that quality goals are consistently met and internal metrics are achieved or exceeded on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Partnering with Manufacturing and Engineering leadership to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) while enhancing process efficiency for optimal quality and financial performance.
- Maintaining ISO9001 and AS9100D certifications, including coordinating successful surveillance and recertification audits with third-party registrars. You will lead internal audits to assess compliance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Reviewing and validating quality requirements associated with customer Purchase Orders and contracts, ensuring proper flow-down of inspection criteria and compliance standards.
- Utilizing industry standards and publications such as MIL-Spec to determine testing and inspection methodologies necessary for product compliance.
- Approving Engineering Change Notices (ECN) to ensure all product modifications meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Overseeing incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspection personnel, establishing criteria, standards, and inspection processes.
- Developing and maintaining supplier quality standards, including performance scorecards and Certificates of Compliance.
- Leading Material Review Board (MRB) activities for timely disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Preparing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and other qualification/test data submissions as required by customers.
- Performing root cause analysis of failures using techniques like 8D, Fishbone diagrams, and 5 Whys, implementing sustainable solutions to prevent recurrent issues.
- Coaching and motivating subordinate staff by setting clear goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Collaborating across departments such as Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sales to ensure customer satisfaction and drive company success.
What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent quality management experience.
- At least 10 years of hands-on quality experience, with a minimum of five years in a decision-making leadership role overseeing projects or processes.
- Prior supervisory experience, demonstrating coaching skills and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in computer systems and quality management software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Experience working with DoD customers, FAR clauses, and DCMA inspection processes is a plus.

Location & Schedule:
This position is on-site in Salem, OR, and offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
