As a Buyer Planner Inventory Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting daily manufacturing operations by managing material planning, procurement, and inventory tracking. You’ll work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure that materials are available, timelines are met, and communications flow seamlessly between departments and suppliers.
What You’ll Do:
As a Buyer Planner Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
  • Collaborating with suppliers, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Communicating regularly with Customer Service to align on delivery schedules, quality standards, and technical requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate commit dates in the ERP system and diligently following through on open service line items.
  • Interfacing with customers as needed to provide updates on project milestones and delivery timelines.
  • Supporting cost estimation for bills of material and expediting fees in collaboration with Engineering and Supply Chain.
  • Analyzing MRP data and creating purchase orders based on buy/action reports while proactively managing exceptions.
  • Resolving material receipt discrepancies to minimize shortages and enhance supplier performance.
  • Monitoring and reporting on key metrics, including capacity planning, vendor on-time delivery (OTD), purchase price variance (PPV), requisition backlog, and inventory alignment.
What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years in a buying, planning, or inventory coordination role within a manufacturing environment, with cross-functional team support experience.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ERP experience such as GrowthPower is preferred.
    • Strong organizational skills and time management capabilities.
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills with both internal teams and suppliers.
    • Comfort in managing multiple priorities and adapting to evolving production needs.
