Job Title: Welder
Pay: $22 - $25 per hour
Hours: Mon-Fri from 6am-2:30pm
Start Date: ASAP

Looking for a hands-on role in a growing fabrication company? Join a trusted employer in Salem as a Welder and make an impact every day. You’ll work in a dynamic environment focused on custom metal and plastic fabrication, contributing to projects that serve a variety of industries. As a Welder, you’ll play a vital role in creating quality products, supporting production, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You’ll collaborate closely with the shop team and foreman to meet daily goals and uphold safety standards.

What You’ll Do:
  • Plan daily production activities in coordination with the shop foreman to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Prepare raw materials and cut parts using CNC equipment and other fabrication tools.
  • Assemble components by welding or bolting, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Clean and finish assembled units, then package and prepare them for shipment.
  • Vacuum mold and fabricate plastic parts as needed, utilizing specialized equipment.
  • Operate forklifts to load and unload materials and finished products.
  • Document manufacturing and quality procedures by completing logs accurately.
  • Assist with other tasks related to production and equipment maintenance as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:
  • Minimum of 1 year of MIG welding experience; TIG experience a plus.
  • Experience with plastic vacuum molding is advantageous.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in welding is a plus.
