As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you’ll play a key role in decking and feeding logs into the sawmill, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations throughout the yard. You’ll work closely with a hardworking team that values reliability, precision, and teamwork to keep production moving strong.
What You'll Do:
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Decking logs using a shovel (Heavy Equipment not hand shovel)
- Feeding logs into the sawmill with precision and care
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Working closely with your team to keep operations running smoothly
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- High energy and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- 2+ years experience as Shovel Operator required
- Ability to maneuver and lift 50+ lbs
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Comfort with bending, pulling, pushing, and twisting throughout the shift
- A willingness to work in a physically demanding environment
